Training and Exercise

IMO OPRC Level 1

First Responder - Provide participants with skills and knowledge to act as efficient responders. Develop and maintain a credible capability to deal with typical oil pollution emergencies and facilitate co-operation and mutual assistance in the event of a major incident. Ability to safely use offshore and onshore oil spill response equipment. Ability to choose correct oil spill response equipment based on regulations and Oil Spill Contingency Plan (OSCP).

IMO OPRC Level 2

Supervisor and On-Scene Commander - Understand the key elements and challenges of oil spill response. Understand the main role of the Supervisor / On-Scene Commander. Ability to prepare, manage or take part in an oil spill response exercise and planning. Ability to supervise and work in an emergency command center for oil spill response.

IMO OPRC Level 3

Administrators and Senior Manager - To provide an overview of successful oil spill response management. To develop knowledge of contingency planning and manage oil spill response operations. Build awareness of the complex responsibilities. To learn from the past oil spill incidents and using it for managing operations.

Table Top Exercise

Tabletop exercise is designed to demonstrate the theoretical ability of Incident Command System (ICS) group to respond the emergency situation. The participants usually people who are decision-making level gather to discuss general problems and procedures in the context of an emergency scenario. In the end of the exercise, participants will be given the evaluation, feedback, and also the revision of policies, plans, and procedures from evaluator.

SCAT Training

Shoreline Cleanup Assessment Technique Training provides a technique to do scientific identification for affected shoreline due to oil spill incident. This identification used as determining any further response that need to do and also proper shoreline cleanup.

Aerial Surveillance Training

Aerial Surveillance is one of initial response options and used as an information to base decisions for oil spill response operation. Aerial surveillance can use aerial equipment such as helicopter, drone, fix-wing and survey aircraft. This training course gives you knowledge, experience and ability to perform aerial surveillance for assessing location of spill, oil spill spreading and verifying oil spill movement in waters as well. The information will be used as incident command to determine response priority.

Oil Sampling Training

Sampling is the one important steps to do in oil spill incident location. Oil spill sample analysis become fingerprint and authentic evidence of the spilt oil. Oil sampling training provides knowledge and ability of oil spill sampling method in both different environmental condition and types of oil; sample labeling and sealing and sample delivery.
